- 1. Download the Google Shopping plugin
- 2. Upload the plugin to your WooCommerce site & activate it
- 3. Open the Google Merchant Center and copy your Google Merchant ID from the top right-hand corner, eg. 1234567
- 4. Go to your WooCommerce backend -> Google Shopping settings (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=google_shopping) and paste the Merchant ID
- 5. Open the Google API Console
- 6. Click on + Create Project or on New Project if you already have some
- 7. Enter the Project name e.g. Google Shopping & click Create
- 8. Click on the Navigation menu
- 9. Then click on APIs & Services
- 10. In the search field search for “Content API for Shopping” and click on it
- 11. Click on Enable
- 12. Click on the Navigation menu again & choose APIs and services & click on Credentials
- 13. Click on + CREATE CREDENTIALS and then choose OAuth client ID
- 14. Click on CONFIGURE CONSENT SCREEN
- 15. Click on External
- 16. Enter your Application name (e.g. Shop name), your Authorised domains (only your main domain, where you access wp-admin), your Homepage link & Privacy Policy link.
- 17. Click on + CREATE CREDENTIALS and then choose OAuth client ID
- 18. As Application type select “Web Application”
- 19. Click on +ADD URI and enter your main domain
- 20. Go to your site's WooCommerce Google Shopping settings page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=google_shopping) and copy the “Redirect Url” and paste it to Authorised redirect URIs
- 21. Click Save
- 22. Click on Web client 1 and copy your Client ID & Client secret
- 23. Head back to your site's WooCommerce Google Shopping settings page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=google_shopping) and paste the Client ID & Client secret
- 24. Configure the domain setting and click on “Get Refresh Token” button and complete the steps for authorization
- Now Google Shopping is ready to use
